Arinze Stanley Egbengwu is a Nigerian artist known for his hyper realistic pencil and charcoal portraits of black subjects that embody the complex emotions associated with the contemporary black experience.At age 24 he won 1st Place in the American Art Awards for best Self Portrait.
Arinze works in a genre of art called Hyperrealism, which is considered an advancement of Photorealism. With no form of training, spending over 2 months per piece, Arinze drives at creating art that portrays intense emotions.
