McFlyy (born Paul Shelton) is a self-taught visual designer and Los Angeles based and born artist. His early interest in art eventually led to him to switch his major from Mechanical Engineering to Graphic Design and Studio Art.
McFlyy’s art is mostly inspired by his eclectic childhood and his dreams, Japanese artists Takashi Murakami and Akira Toriyama, anime and hip hop that all conjoined into an ultimate mash-up of his visual sight and physical experiences. He was copying the art of the artists he liked until he established his own style and his own vibrant color palette.
Since then, McFlyy has worked with celebrity clientele like Gucci Mane, Chris Brown, J Balvin, and Shaquille O’Neal. When he is not working with celebrities, he likes to portray them through his designs.
He has also collaborated with numerous high profile companies such as Nike (Air Jordan), Puma, Under Armour and Moncler, just to name a few.
Culture / lifestyle platforms such as Complex, the Fader, Highsnobiety and Hypebeast have also been frequent fans of his work.
