GABRIEL RIGGIONI

Gabriel Riggioni, a native of the city of San José, is a Costa Rican plastic artist, and an art lover since his childhood. He Grew up filling his sketchbooks with drawings, saying more than words. After finishing his studies of architecture at the University, he designed a project called Pig Parade, which allowed Riggioni to encounter himself with the world of painting, falling even more in love with what he does and reaffirming his true passion. He bears a magical and passionate vocation for endless adventure to a world full of color. Riggioni has contributed in various areas of the arts such as: painting, murals, sculpture, and digital art alike. He has directed classes in painting and drawing workshops. Exploring a variety of materials, from acrylic paint and resins on canvas, to prints and vinyl, Gabriel Riggioni taps into pop art sensibility. Cheerful, bright colors, and repeated patterns serve as a platform for varying states of abstraction; in many works.
