From functional pieces like indoor swings to three-dimensional sculptures in public spaces, all pieces inspire the viewer to see the world through the eyes of a child. This childlike perspective prompts the viewer to use their imagination, exercise curiosity, and create a bond with their environment.
Gabriela views her work in lucite, mixed media and textiles as a practive in preservation, serving to document our time on Earth for future generations.
Her recent exhibitions and collaborations include Just a Space curated by Sarah Andelman, Pop Up Park at Ten over Six, a radiating mobile in Nashville International Airport, and a collection with London based designer, Mira Mikati.
